Moving On…to www.blazingpotential.com

September 8th, 2009 · ordinary moments

Hello All,

I giggle at myself that it has taken me this long to write this…and here I am!

I’ve been in transition for months but settling in to my new home at www.blazingpotential.com.  Change your bookmark if you need but I’ll be writing from there only.  I’ll always have this site to show the first few years of the journey, but www.blazingpotential.com will be the one for the latest writing, musings, quotes and pics.

Thanks for joining me on this journey we call life.
Blessing and smiles,

Susanne

Free Lemonade

June 4th, 2009 · ordinary moments, parenting

Children blow my mind! I have been telling mine each day that I am grateful they let me be their mama and lucky to have them as my teachers.

On Saturday a neighbor came over with a bucket of lemonade mix. Emily in all her wisdom said “Mom, can we have a lemonade stand.” Of course!

We made lemonade and set her up with a table and chair (half way down the driveway where she felt comfortable). When the first customer came she got a bit shy and needed my help. I poured the drinks and asked how much it costs? “Free Mom”.

What if, just imagine we could all set up a lemonade stand and charge nothing??? (she made 3 dollars by the end of the hour just by being so cute)!. I look to my 5 and 7 year olds when I need to learn something!

Challenge of Life

May 29th, 2009 · acceptance, quotes

Count it all joy, my brethren, when you meet various trials, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.
