Boulder, CO, – Susanne Achtenhagen, Boulder’s “Triathete Mom”, will be making a series of presentations aimed at helping moms balance family, health and fitness at Parenting Place, 1235-A Pine Street in Boulder.

The talks, titled “Balancing Mothering and Me,” are open to all who want to attend, and the next will take place December 12 at 10:30 am. The admission of $5 will go to benefit Parenting Place.

“We are all so busy that we often forget to stop and think about whether we are accomplishing the goals we set long ago as mothers,” said Achtenhagen, 35. “I know I have struggled over how to find the right balance between work, family nutrition, and quality time with my husband and kids.”

The third in the series of presentations will focus on planning for the holidays. Susanne will present and lead a discussion that deals with the common challenge of planning holiday festivities while not setting yourself up with expectations that are just too stressful and difficult to reach.

Achtenhagen, 35, is an elite triathlete and the mother of two daughters. Her website, www.triathletemom.com, is dedicated to helping other mothers balance fitness, nutrition and family, as well as encouraging others to chase their dreams.

As an added treat, Achtenhagen will be giving out samples of all-organic amenities created by Pangea Organics, a Boulder-based maker of all-natural bodycare products. Pangea is a sponsor of Achtenhagen’s professional triathlon efforts.
