Height/weight: 5’10”/145 lbs.
Competitive Dream: Compete in the Olympics
Personal Goal: To be the best human, mom, wife and athlete I can be. To show others that it’s possible to live your dreams while being a good mother and wife as well, I don’t have to give up all of me. I want to encourage and support anyone and everyone on their own individual path of finding their passion, finding what makes them bound out of bed each morning excited for the day.
Favorite: biking, running or swimming? Running
Best place for a triathlon: Anywhere with a warm ocean (Hawaii is my only experience with that so far).
Favorite cereal: Ginger granola.
Favorite dinner: Home-cooked meal by Kurt (one of the best is a steak with veggies and French bread).
Dessert? Home-made mud pie.
Food I hate? Fast-Food cheeseburger (I LOVE grilled cheeseburgers!)
Favorite movie(s): I’m not much of a movie or TV person. Kurt and I have never had cable until very recently, and only because it’s cheaper to get the whole package of Internet/phone/cable, and I still have not watched a show!
Favorite book(s)?
- Tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Albom
- The Energy of Money: A Spiritual Guide to Financial and Personal Fulfillment by Maria Nemeth
- The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown
Morning person or night owl? Morning person for sure! Drop me in bed at 8pm.
On being a Mom and a triathlete: I have the best job in the world. I get to train and stay fit, be around great people and have my family involved and with me every step of the way. There’s nothing better than arriving home after a 2 ½ hour ride to Kurt and the girls sitting in the front yard with my running shoes, visor and water in hand, cheering me on through the transition.
